HER STORY
April found me on Facebook.
There was a chance to win a session. She saw it as a challenge — an opportunity to push herself toward something she'd always wanted but never quite reached for: learning to love herself and her body.
She signed up. She showed up.
And then, standing in the doorway of the studio, she almost turned around and walked back out.
"I wanted to learn how to love myself and my body."

BEFORE THE SESSION
How were you feeling before your session?
I was nervous. I was thinking about leaving at first. But then she told me to sit down and get my hair and makeup done — and that's when I started realizing this was real. My nervousness went away.
There is something grounding about the ritual of getting ready. The chair. The makeup brush. The moment when your reflection starts to shift and you think — maybe. Maybe I can do this.
April stayed. And everything that happened next began with that one decision.
DURING THE SESSION
What surprised you most?
The more I got into the session, the calmer I was. I didn't realize how tense I'd been — but by the end I was relaxed and I felt like I could take on the world. My confidence grew so big.
This is the arc of almost every session I've ever done. Nerves at the start. A slow exhale. Then something opens up. Women stop thinking about how they look and start actually feeling. That's when the images become something else entirely.
SEEING HER IMAGES
How did you feel when you saw your images for the first time?
I couldn't believe what I saw. I was in awe. I didn't think I could look that beautiful — but I actually saw ME. The real me. Not a fake image.
"I actually saw ME. The real me."
THE SHIFT
Has anything shifted in how you see yourself?
I realized I didn't have to push so hard. I didn't have to fake a smile. I actually am beautiful. That's what changed me.
HER WORDS TO YOU
What would you say to a woman who's nervous?
You can push through your nervousness and you will see that you are stronger than what you think you are. We're all amazing — we are uniquely made, each and every one of us.
What does "confidence" mean to you now?
Before, I used to think confidence was something I'd only see on TV or in magazines. I used to think "I wish I could do that." Now I know I can. I'm confident enough to say: I'm beautiful. And I am enough.
"I am enough."
A NOTE FROM BEHIND THE LENS
April almost didn't stay. I think about that a lot.
How many women have stood at that threshold — of a session, of a new chapter, of believing something different about themselves — and turned back? How many are standing there right now?
April stayed. And she left knowing she was enough.
That's available to you too.
Ready to Have Your Own FIERCE Moment?
Every woman in this series felt nervous. Every single one. And every single one walked away changed.
If April's story — or Suzanne's, or Lindsey's — sounds familiar, that's not a coincidence. That's recognition.
You don't have to be at your best. You don't have to have lost the weight, or feel confident, or know what to wear. You just have to decide to show up for yourself.
Sessions are limited. Reach out today to start the conversation.
