Flash back to May 7, 2022 at the Carlisle Ribbon Mill in Carlisle, PA where Alexis and Patrick said I do. We had been at the Carlisle Ribbon Mill just a month before for a Sweet 16 party. Alexis and Patrick had about 40 of their closest family and friends beside them for their special day! This Carlisle Wedding Photographer loved this venue and smaller wedding.
Alexis’ mom helped her get ready in the bridal suite after hair and makeup was done by Alexi’s cousin.
The details of this wedding were absolutely beautiful. We love detail wedding pictures. They are all so different and personal to the couple. The cupcakes at Patrick and Alexi’s wedding were made by her aunt and kept a secret until the wedding day from the bride and her mother. They were amazing. Chocolate peanut butter, toasted coconut and strawberry. SO GOOD!!!
The bride did a quick first look with her dad right before he walked her down the isle. The first glance at Alexis for Patrick was from the end of the isle. No first look for them before the ceremony. This is becoming more common, but with a smaller wedding and less necessary pictures, it’s easy to fit all of the pictures in the timeline of the wedding day.
The Carlisle Ribbon Mill has an old elevator that makes for some great pictures.
After dinner, we went into cake cutting and first dances. Patrick and Alexis had their first dance, followed by Alexis and her father and Patrick and Alexis’ mother finished out the first dances. Well, the actual last first dance was Alexis and her mom! A great way to have your mother know how special she has been in your life!
Then, the dance floor opened up and the fun began.
Weddings vary from couple to couple. Big, small, fancy, laid back. It all depends on the couple and budget. But no matter what your style or budget, they are all beautiful for the couple that planned it.
