This one may be hard to write for me. You see, this beautiful young lady is my oldest daughter and she’s graduating this year! I didn’t think I’d ever be the one to take my own daughter’s senior photos, but here we are. I was honored when she said that she wanted mom to take her senior pictures. I looked at it as just another one of our sessions, until I went to edit her session and it all became real.
We were supposed to go to Florida last June and take some senior pictures on the beach, but COVID stopped that, so we moved it to March and went to Puerto Rico. By the way, if you ever want AFH Media to capture your pictures somewhere other than PA, just let us know. WE LOVE TO TRAVEL!
We took some pictures on the private beach that we stayed on and while her hair got frizzy because of the heat, I absolutely love these memories that we captured.
Beach hair…don’t care. Everything is better on the beach, right? Even when the storms rolled in, it was still beautiful.
Central PA Senior Photos
For her main session, back here in Central PA, we went to Country joy Flowers in Elizabethtown. If you want a beautiful location, this is one to consider. Flowers of all varieties, a barn, lake and beautiful landscapes. Oh, and don’t forget the occasional dog or rooster that may pop into your session. This is a working farm, so the animals are kind of a big deal. Kendra rolled with the dog joining her session and the last photo is actually one of my favorite of her entire session.
I always suggest several outfits for senior sessions. Usually 3-4. Something casual, your favorite outfit, mom (or dad’s) favorite outfit and something a little more dressy. This almost guarantees that everyone will like at least some of the pictures that we capture.
This girl made me a mom and now she's about to graduate from High School. Where did the last 18 years go? Did I mention that tomorrow is her 18th birthday? WHAT THE HECK!?!?! When they tell you as a senior that time flies and to enjoy every minute, they aren't kidding. There's times I feel like I just graduated high school and now I've got a kid that's graduating!
Kendra, I'm so proud of you. From the shy little girl who we were sure would come home crying the first day of kindergarten to the spunky almost adult that I see before me now, you are beautiful, inside and out. I'm proud to be your mom and your friend and love doing this crazy life with you. I'm so excited to see what you accomplish next and what Lebanon Valley College will bring to your life! You have worked and achieved so much and I'm so excited to see this next chapter of your life begin. You are my Kendra Bear, always and forever and I love you. You've made this mama's heart so happy and proud! You've got amazing things coming your way! I pray for you daily and I know God has heard because you are proof that he answers prayers. The confident young lady I see in the images above prove God is still answering prayers today! My prayers for you will continue until I can't anymore and my love grows daily for you!
I love you, kid!!
Ok, now that the tears are done, if you're ready to book your senior session, we'd love to make some memories with you! Reach out below!
