Boudoir Photography Prop Ideas Part 2

Boudoir photography props can be used to tell a story or even convey a fantasy. Pillows and blankets can add a cozy, home-like feel. We talked about the top 5 boudoir photography props in last weeks blog post. This week, we’ll talk about props a little more dramatic and luxurious.

Creative Boudoir Photography Props

1.Special Occasion Props

Special occasion props can add a fun twist to your boudoir photo shoot. They can focus on the time of year or help you celebrate a special occasion.

You know how parents do cake smashes for their children’s 1st birthday? Think on those lines. Turning 30, 40 or 50? Let’s get a cake or champagne and celebrate. Is Halloween your favorite holiday? Let’s get spooky in the studio.

2. Fun Props

Are you a foodie or find a sensual nature to some foods (think chocolate or strawberries)? These can add a sense of fun and playfulness to your images.

Costumes can also be used as fun props. Dark and moody, dress up, role play. The options are endless. Think outside of the box. The studio is a safe place to try new things and explore things you may have only dreamed of!

Another option for fun boudoir props is musical instruments. Does your spouse play guitar? Bring it a long to use in your session to create a personal touch on your images. Are you a musician? Write music or play? Bring your music sheets, instrument or any other item that might link you to these special images.

3.Wedding Props

If you have a wedding in your future, now is a great time to capture some one of a kind images for your soon to be spouse. Put those shoes or flowers or your veil to good use before the wedding and walk away with a beautiful gift. Have you purchased special lingerie for the wedding night or to wear under your dress? Get more use out of it by wearing it to your boudoir session. A Bridal Boudoir Session is a great way to gift your spose a one of a kind gift!
