This beautiful lady came in for her FIERCE Over 40 session and had to wait to see her pictures until she got back from her 70th birthday trip to Jamaica! Yep, she’s 70 and brought her pink and red party dress in with her for her session. When you’re over 40 and having your photos taken, I think you absolutely should have a party dress. Wear it proud! Cynthia, the now 70 year old retired educator, did just that!
START BY TELLING ME WHO YOU ARE? WHERE ARE YOU FROM? GIVE ME A SHORT BIO OF YOU AND YOUR LIFE
My name is Cynthia Artis-Hopkins. I was born and raised in Harrisburg, PA. Attended Harrisburg City Schools and the oldest HBC in the country, Cheyney State College. Now known as Cheyney State University. Post graduate work at Penn State /Middletown Campus. Also, a successful teaching career of 35 years. Was married and am happily divorced. I am the mother of two children (one each) and the grandmother to five beautiful grandchildren. I now spend my time traveling, reading, and anything else that my heart desires.
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING YOUR AGE?
Retirement is a beautiful thing! Being able to do what I want, when I want is very appealing.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?
Raising two productive law-abiding children has been very rewarding. Retiring after a successful teaching career is also an achievement that I am quite proud of.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING THAT YOU HAVE CHECKED OFF YOUR BUCKET LIST?
Having the freedom to travel around the country visiting friends and family members in various states. Possibly a cruise to Greece in 2023.
WHAT TRAIT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
Being an independent and intelligent woman.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR?
In this turbulent time that we're living in, it would be to lose a family member or friend to some kind of crazy crime.
WHEN, IN YOUR LIFE, HAVE YOU FELT MOST CONFIDENT, AND WHY?
After my divorce, I was able to maintain my same lifestyle and go on with my life.
HAVE YOUR PERCEPTIONS OF WHAT BEING "ATTRACTIVE" MEANS CHANGED OVER TIME? WHAT DO YOU DEFINE AS ATTRACTIVE NOW?
As I became older, my perception of what "being attractive" means has changed. Attractive to me means, someone who is kind, intelligent, well-groomed and must be financially independent. Good looks and a sense of humor are definitely a plus.
