If you’ve been following AFH Media, LLC this year, you have seen our amazing FIERCE Over 40 ladies popping up on our pages and blogs. On November 5, 2022, AFH Media held its inaugural FIERCE Gala! Matt and Jodi rented the Susquehanna Club in New Cumberland and invited all of the FIERCE ladies to join them in celebrating them participating in the project. We also invited friends and family of the ladies and anyone else that wanted to see what it was all about or support one of their friends.
These women over 40 really made an impact on Jodi and her year. She heard stories of survivors of cancer, single moms figuring life out for themselves and their kids, ladies who were married for many years, only to have their husband walk out during a terrible moment in their lives. Ladies who had husbands pass away after loving marriages and having to start over almost broke them. Ladies who have been with the love of their life for many years and are building a beautiful life together. Single women. Married women. Divorced women. Widowed women. Women who’ve lost a ton of weight or bike 35 miles per day! Jodi laughed with these ladies, cried with them and even prayed with them.
We all have a story to tell. You may not know what yours is yet, but you will and someone needs to hear it. You are FIERCE!
The guests enjoyed drinks and hors d’oeuvres, mingling with each other and viewing the gallery of canvases of all of the ladies. Everyone also received a goody bag with sponsor swag in it.
We had gallery sponsors from Show Stopping Rentals & Designs, Neill Funeral Home, River Wealth Advisors, CeCe’s Cake Shop, Plum Bottom, Pricilla’s Hair and Makeup and our beautiful centerpieces and individual flowers for the ladies were hand painted by Juniper Jig Wood Florist. Show Stopping Designs & Rentals created the awesome, branded backdrop and CeCe’s Cake shop provided the wonderful cookies!
Thank you to all 43 ladies that participated in the FIERCE Over 40 project in 2022. It was a pleasure to meet you all.
Thank you, also, to our volunteers, who's arm may or may not have been twisted to help us. Matt's parents and brother, Jodi's dad and step mom and two daughters and daughter's boyfriend were great help in all of the preparation!
